Singing in the ANATS National Conference Welcome Ceremony, 2020

The 2020 ANATS (Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing) National Conference was held online last weekend. It was a wonderful opportunity for singers, singing teachers and other voice professionals from all across the country (and overseas) to come together to further develop our knowledge and reinvigorate our teaching practices through keynote addresses, research presentations, discussions and social networking.

Students of Amelia Nell's were invited to perform in the Welcome Ceremony this year as a follow on from their performances at the last national conference held in the Blue Mountains in 2018. The students singing in this video are from Vocalocity Leura, the Orange Regional Conservatorium and Kinross Wolaroi School.

The video introduction is by Shelli Hulcombe (ANATS National President). The theme of the conference was 'Come Together', so for the virtual Opening Ceremony delegates were encouraged to dress up in 1960's costumes (hence Shelli's awesome wig, earrings and background!).
