'SINGING FOR OUR SUPPER' Fundraising Concert

When we first had the idea to take our vocal ensemble to the Australian National Eisteddfod in Canberra, it soon became clear that we were going to need to figure out a way to raise the money to get us there and back!

We decided to hold a fundraising concert we entitled 'Singing For Our Supper!' on Saturday 15th July, 2017 at the beautiful Wentworth Falls School of Arts Theatre. We had great media coverage to advertise the event with several local marketing agencies kindly displaying our poster on their various media platforms, and Amelia even did a radio interview about the event (during which there may or may not have been a slightly embarrassing impromptu song outburst).

A fantastic night was had by all. The vocal ensemble performed, as did soloists from the group and Amelia's friend and former university lecturer, saxophonist Jason Thornton made an appearance with his jazz fusion band, JT3. Everyone performed beautifully and our audience enjoyed champagne and canapés at interval, which have quickly become Vocalocity staples at our concerts!

We had some truly fabulous raffle prizes donated from several local businesses and we would like to say a very big thank you again to our wonderfully generous sponsors and to everyone who supported us through the event - we couldn't have done it without you!
